March 11th 2023 marked the very first round of the Cigma Racing Clubman 1000 Cup.
We are very pleased to be able to support the cup and even more pleased to be able to report on the racing! The series is run by the BMCRC (or Bemsee) and the first rounds took place over the weekend of the 11th & 12th of March on the Brands Hatch Indy circuit.
The Clubman 100 cup races share the track with the MRO Powerbikes series to make for even more entertaining racing.
In the first race of the weekend on Saturday, Lee Healy finished seventh overall and took the win in the Clubman 1000 riding his Wilvin UK Limited Suzuki.
Sunday saw two more 15 lap races. The first race saw a close 3-way battle for the Clubman cup. Clayton Grover took the win by a tenth of a second on his Grover Stunts Yamaha R1 with an eighth place overall finish. Lee Healy took second, closely followed by Daniel Farley.
The final race of the weekend saw Clayton repeating his win and taking the early lead in the cup.
